Customer compliment: “I am writing to let you know that I had an amazing experience at the Kiehl’s store in the MSP airport!! I was flying home to Connecticut for my mom’s birthday and had a few hours during my layover. I was wandering around the shops and decided to stop in Kiehl’s. I asked the store associate Galina for help to recommend something for my mom as a gift. For years, my mom has used the same routine from Lancôme and had recently told me that she wanted to try out something new. Galina went above and beyond to accommodate my request – she asked details about my mom’s preferences and skin type. She was extremely knowledgeable and personable! The overnight care set she recommended was perfect!! Thank you so much to Galina for helping me pick out a gift for my mom – she loves her new skincare routine.”
We take pride in our customer service standards and always try to celebrate when our staff is recognized for going above and beyond. Recently a customer of our Lolli and Pops MSP store, Michael Sherlock, took to his blog to write about one of our rock stars, Alex Kovelan.
Michael wrote, “Today I saw a Master in play. At a small store. Selling candy. In an airport.
I’ve walked by Lolli & Pops many times and never gone in. Alex greeted me immediately while finishing a transaction with another customer. By that time I already had a few things in hand.
Looking for a bag to get some bulk candies, the sign indicated a flat fee regardless of weight. What?!
Alex confirmed this while complimenting me on my choice of candy. “You can squeeze so much in those bags with gummies! Got for it!” I loved him even more.
While I shoved candy into my $8 bag he greeted another customer this way. “What can I help you buy today?”
Brilliant! He knew that no one would enter his store without a reason, and his confidence was inspiring.”

Customer compliment: “I bought a bar at Lolli & Pops but got distracted by something and left it lying on the counter! My gate was literally across the hall so I didn’t go very far, but I didn’t realize until I got on my plane. They actually let me de-plane and run back to get it, and your worker there saw me, remembered me, had actually been waiting for me and handed my bar to me so I could run back on the plane without holding up the flight. This was at 2:30 pm on Friday, July 15, 2018. Monica was amazing–thank you for hiring amazing people!”
St. Croix’s Founder and CEO, Pady Regnier was recently published in the Journal of Airport Management. Beyond the lease: True partnerships between airports and concessionaires focuses on how airports and concessionaires are naturally aligned/have a mutual goal to provide great customer service that drives traffic and higher revenue.
